The need

Taxation, in its many guises, impacts on both our business and personal lives. Features of our service

Horwath Bastow Charleton Limerick has a dedicated Tax Department.

The Tax Department recognise the importance of keeping fully up to date with all tax related developments, e.g. the introduction of new tax legislation, amendments to existing tax legislation, publication of Revenue Statements of Practice, interpretation and applications of tax law amongst other. The Tax Department uses a system of both internal and external activities to achieve this objective. This results in a direct benefit to our clients and enables the firm to be pro-active in advising clients on, for example, opportunities or changes to the tax legislation that directly affect a particular individual, activity or business.

The Tax Department uses the mix of expertise of its members to provide a full and complete service to its clients.

The Tax Department works to provide solutions and decision making tools to its clients. This could take the form of providing correct information to enable a decision to be made to advising a client on how to minimise the tax liability attaching to a specific transaction while achieving the overall objective of the client.

We work to try and understand the position and/or objective of a client and use that understanding to provide specific advices.
