A restructuring strategy seeks to create a leaner balance sheet and a more profitable and cost-effective business. It involves rethinking the entire business model looking at ways to keep costs down whilst improving performance by growing revenues and fostering talent. On a day-to-day level it can involve evaluating the supply chain, improving logistics and distribution, eradicating waste and duplication. It may also require a paradigm shift for management, perhaps changing the focus of the business if a particular area is not performing, even if that is the original business.

For restructuring to succeed management must be on board and willing to act on our advice. We have put restructuring plans together as part of examinership assignments and also as a separate business rescue service for companies looking to improve their operation before they are faced with examinership or insolvency.
