Pat Sheehan Tax Consulting Partner

Pat is a tax partner in the firm and an Associate of the Irish Taxation Institute.

Pat has over fifteen years experience in tax consulting and has a wide range of experience in a number of areas including the tax planning of property transactions, the buying or selling of businesses including tax due diligence, dealing with Revenue audits and succession planning.

More recently his focus has been on advising individuals and companies on the various tax aspects associated with restructuring, including business restructuring, the restructuring of property holding structures, incorporation options etc. He also deals with the tax aspects of insolvency assignments.

Pat has worked on international tax projects covering areas such as cross-border acquisitions and he also advises on the tax aspects of non-resident corporates setting up or acquiring businesses in Ireland.

Pat works closely with our Corporate Finance department consulting on corporate, personal and international tax issues. Pat is particularly involved in devising optimal structures for private equity fundraising deals to maximise tax efficiency. He also undertakes international tax due diligence projects analysing tax compliance, identifying risk areas, tax contingencies and tax advantages.

His experience covers a range of sectors including construction, hospitality, manufacturing, distribution, family-owned business, technology and professional service firms. His clients include investors in tax based property consortiums, property developers, family-owned companies, multi-national companies, legal advisors and other accounting firms who do not have an internal tax advisor.

He is a keen supporter of a variety of sports including GAA, rugby, soccer and horseracing and is actively involved in a number of local community based groups.
