Liam Hession Accounting Partner

Liam Hession is an audit partner within the firm. He is an honours graduate of the University of Limerick and a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland. Liam qualified in 1994 having completed his training with BDO.

Liam and his team deliver audit and related services to a portfolio of high quality clients throughout Ireland. His clients range across a number of industries which reflect the sectoral strengths of those in the corporate finance and taxation areas of the firm. These include: hospitality and tourism, property and contracting, retail, trading and distribution, professional services, environmental, food and agribusiness, TMT and marketing, healthcare, manufacturing as well as financial and other services.

Liam provides general advice to clients on areas including strategic planning, banking and obtaining grant aid and is one of the firm’s lead negotiators assisting his clients with restructuring and banking proposals.

Liam has a particular focus on dispute resolution where he takes a forensic approach particularly in the areas of marital and shareholder disputes. These complex cases require rigorous investigative skills combined with meticulous communication and negotiation to ensure a fair and best outcome for clients. Liam has testified to the veracity of his findings where contentious cases have reverted to the Court system.

Liam has experience in due diligence and has carried out a large number of due diligence assignments for venture capitalists and financial institutions.

Liam is a Roscommon native now living in Clare; he is keenly interested in sport, particularly GAA and golf.
