KEN KILMARTIN Accounting Partner

Ken Kilmartin is an audit partner within the firm. He is an honours graduate of the University of Limerick, where he majored in accounting and finance, and is an Associate of Chartered Accountants Ireland.

Ken has been with Horwath Bastow Charleton Limerick since its formation in 2003 and provides the highest quality audit and compliance advice to clients in a range of sectors.

Ken has an in-depth knowledge of the healthcare sector, providing audit, banking and advisory services to nursing homes the length and breadth of the country. He is also a lead negotiator with the National Treatment Purchase Fund - assisting nursing home owners to negotiate rates for the provision of long term care to the elderly.

Throughout his career Ken has also worked closely with the firm’s clients in the hospitality sector; providing audit and assurance, banking, restructuring, and advisory services to a range of businesses in this sector.

As one of the firm’s leading general practitioners Ken delivers audit and advisory services to predominately indigenous family-owned businesses but is also experienced in auditing manufacturing, property, Irish subsidiaries of overseas firms, and professional service firms.

As part of his advisory service he provides tax planning and due diligence investigations and has worked with some of the firm’s leading clients on business acquisitions, disposals, Revenue and banking negotiations, restructuring and litigation matters.

Ken is the technical and compliance partner within the firm, having responsibility for all internal and external regulatory matters.
